Want a pokemon egg?

Every person who regblog this  will have a pokemon egg on their submissions and a few days later a pokemon will hatch from the egg.

The pokemon will be submitted based on their blog, it may be shiny or even a legendary

(Have your submissions open and only reblog, likes does not count)

Oh cool!

Not really a Sprite but it is pokemon related so I thought I’d give it a try :)

sincerely, a person who has been on prozac for 9 years

this is in response to some shitty stuff i’ve seen on my dash recently. it’s super simplified, so if you’d like to know some more indepth stuff on how exactly it works, google it—OR BETTER YET actually talk to a mental health doctor psychiatrist person wow

This is a good explanation on how SSRIs work! I’ll be sure to use this instead of the overly complex and technical explanation I end up making when I try to discuss antidepressants.

However! It’s worth noting that SSRIs aren’t the only sort of meds used for depression either! There are also serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors, tricyclics, and monoamine oxidase inhibitors as well, but I unfortunately don’t remember precisely how those work. (I just know that MAOIs are really serious and you have to avoid a ton of foods that can cause some really bad reactions.)

My experience with SSRIs was not favorable and indeed I feel as if what I was prescribed wasn’t right for me, however— and I did feel that they sapped my energy a lot and dulled my emotions (but didn’t eliminate them!). It was rough, so I tapered myself off of them. So I always tell my clients who are on meds that if something isn’t working for them, make sure to tell your therapist/doctor/psychiatrist ASAP so they can see to it that they get that changed! It takes some trial and error for psychoactive medications to work because no two minds work the same, so you gotta find what works for you!
